"Little Light" Is an ARPG that takes inspiration from the game "Dungeon Siege"
This was the first project I was involved with where I worked with programming and art students. We were tasked with making an ARPG in 1 month. Our teachers made a backlog in which we planned how much we would have time with.
My role as a game designer on the project was designing the second level (Forest Level), to design the inventory system, movement system, and camera placement.
This project taught me how to work with kits and how to design levels with terrain tools. It also improved my skill in level design where I had to understand why I designed a level in a specific way and what purpose the enemy placement, item placement, and details had for the overall experience.
This project also taught me how to work with a bigger group and with people from different areas (Programming, Art). My communication and initiative-taking improved, and I learned to understand the importance of clear communication and daily scrum-meetings to reduce friction in our project.
